OTT is ISO 9001:2008 certifed
Every three years the ISO certifying is examined. The recurring examination of certifying certifies the successful operation of a quality management system according to the guidelines of the ISO 9001:2008.

OTT production processes - Quality first!
OTT is an enterprise with management system for the conversion and continuous improvement of the company targets. A policy deployment is in place to focus on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Productivity. The process cycles are constantly analyzed and examined for possible improvements. If we are able to identify our potential for improvement we can do better. Opportunity for improvements are placed on the Target Bowler, clearly defined and tracked with Countermeasures and Action Plans. Achieved issues are controlled. This is very important to see that there is no backsliding.
OTT started end of 2002 a restructuring process to optimize the flow of all goods first. 2nd step was to build up production cells in 2003
and 2004. Since 2005 OTT is in the 3rd phase to build up mini companies in the company. This supports responsibility and quality.

Inside OTT - Produktion cells with One-Piece-Flow
All units are produced in One-Piece-Flow to focus the team on one unit only. The workers start to assembly step by step with parts, tools and helps, information in the right place. The big advantage of One-Piece-Flow is, if a problem occurs, only one unit has to be reworked and investigated or scrapped. Is the problem not solvable immediately the production will be stopped until the solution is available and released.
After all steps the unit is fully tested and calibrated and a FAT (Field Acceptance Test certificate) will be printed out. A Standard Work Sheet documents all quality checks in a cell.

To see how stable the process in the cell is we track all units that have been produced without problems or additional work. We collect the daily data to a monthly figure FPY (First Pass Yield). 100% would be perfect, 99% is our goal. Currently we are at 98% overall. A unit which has “failed” will be reworked with original parts and passes the process a second time. The customer always receives units with the same high quality level.

Inside OTT - Produktion cells (Mini company) Management board
All data for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Productivity on a cell level (mini factory) and for the complete shop floor updated on daily basis. This helps us to act immediately and makes it visible and clear to all members of the team.
